PocketFinance is a blog that provides information on personal finance and business to entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs. The blog is hosted by Africa’s premier life, finance and
business coach, Omilola Oshikoya.
After over 10 years in finance/investment banking, Omilola left
a successful career in pursuit of fulfillment. She is a co-author
of the “Money Book”, columnist for the second most widely read newspaper in
Nigeria, public speaker, blogger, entrepreneur, media &
publications specialist. In August 2014, Omilola
was recognized as a chosen youth by the La Roche Leadership Foundation and
given an award “for showing exemplary
leadership attributes as a Youth and contributing to the sustainable
development of the larger society”.
Omilola is a co-host on the talk show The Heart of
the Matter which airs on Ebony Life TV and Niger Delta TV and as a result she
has interviewed many prominent African business leaders such as the Director
General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Arunma Oteh, The CEO of
Thistle Praxis, Ini Onuk etc. In April 2014, she was invited by Accenture
Limited, to speak to its staff on financial planning. She was the only
individual invited amongst the financial giants such as Stanbic IBTC, ARM etc.
She was also invited to Total Nig Plc in August 2014, to speak to its staff on
financial planning. Omilola hosts a monthly web series titled “Pocketfinance
with Omilola” on Bella Naija. She has also been invited as a guest to speak on
the radio several times as well as other gatherings like Church, talk-show,
social events etc speaking on topics such as wealth creation and financial
management.
